Pera Daily is Turkey's independent digital newspaper — built entirely from scratch with SEO performance at its core. The project required architecting a scalable news platform that could rank in Google News, handle high content volume, and maintain editorial independence without expensive CMS licensing.
The Challenge
Building a media platform that scores well on Core Web Vitals under real news conditions — frequent content updates, large image galleries, embedded videos — while indexing rapidly in Google News without a domain authority head start.
The Approach
Next.js with Incremental Static Regeneration for article pages. Firebase Firestore powers a custom headless CMS with role-based editorial workflows. Structured data covers NewsArticle, BreadcrumbList, and Author schemas. A programmatic sitemap syncs automatically on every article publish.
