Subhub helps users take control of their recurring expenses — subscriptions, shared debts, and payment schedules — from a single dashboard. Built with React Native for true cross-platform deployment from one codebase.
The Challenge
Recurring payments are scattered across bank statements, email receipts, and app notifications. The challenge was building a reliable reminder engine that worked consistently across iOS and Android, with timezone awareness and per-service custom billing intervals.
The Approach
Firebase Realtime Database for instant sync across devices. Expo Notifications for scheduled reminders with customizable advance notice (1/3/7 days before renewal). Multi-currency support (TRY, USD, EUR, GBP) with local currency formatting. Clean dashboard groups subscriptions by category with monthly/annual spend totals.
